The Strictly Coffee Company is jointly owned and directed by Duncan Northover and Roy Borgman.
Duncan: Managing Director: With over 20 years of experience in the sales business, Duncan carries out the role of Director Wholesale, including roasting, and the day to day running of the total business. Duncan is based in our Frederick Street head quarters, warehouse and roastery. Duncan has built up extensive knowledge of coffee and oversees the roasting operations at both Frederick and Bath Streets.
Roy: Director Finance & Marketing: With over 35 years of senior management, finance and investment banking experience, as well as managing and co owning his own successful stockbroking and investment advising business for 10 years, Roy brings business and finance management and marketing skills to Strictly Coffee.
Pip Bain: Office Manager. Pip has a strong backgroung in hospitality and office administration. As Office Manager Pip oversees and ensures the smooth process of client ordering through to payment of accounts. Pip is usually a first point of contact at Frederick Street with respect to client and general enquiries. The Account Managers live in fear of her.
Warehouse Manager/Barista Training: Misty Smith. Misty has worked in the cafe industry for many years. Before coming to Strictly Coffee to manage our warehouse, misty spent 6 years overseas in various cafe and training roles, including supervisory and management positions. Misty manages our complete warehouse operation and we utilise her vast experience in a wide variety of other roles in the business, including training.
Roaster: Logan Mamanu. With several years in hospitality, Logan is an experienced barista who now spends most of his time on roasting at our Frederick Street warehouse and cafe. Logan is constantly analysing our blends to ensure consistency and improvement.
Technical/despatch: Brian Johnson is our technical man in charge of coffee machine maintenance and client machine repairs. Brian has benefited from training in Italy at La Cimbali, Cona in London and Adimac vending machines in New Zealand.
Barista/despatch:Hannah Williams. Hannah is our new hot-shot barista at Fredrick street as well as dropping off the all important coffee beans to our clients when shes done.
Catherine Mcgregor: Kat is a trained and experienced barista with both NZ and overseas experience in the industry. Kat looks after a growing portfolio of cafe clients, assists new customers with training and general making coffee advice, as well as customer branding and signage.
Dennis Smith : Dennis is a senior Account Manager and looks after a growing portfolio of cleaning supply clients. Dennis has been involved with the cleaning supplies and cafe industries for 35 years.
John Steel: A senior Account Manager with a strong sales background, including 20 years in the cafe supply industry. John looks after a large portfolio of cafe clients. John also looks after our vending machine sales,
insallation and maintenance.
Ash Wilson: Ash has worked for the Strictly Coffee company once before as a barista and knows his way around the products like he invented half of them. Ash is headed to the Central Otago area to look after accounts both in Central and lower South Island centres.
Manager: Tristan Dingemans. Tristan has a long career in cafes and has an eye for the perfect espresso, which becomes evident when watching him craft your coffee.
Tristan joined the Bath St team early this year and has become a great member of the Strictly team.
Barista : Phil "Woody" Woodrow. Woody brings the good banter and energy we have come to expect at Bath st and joined our team in march 2013.
Head Cook: Bronwyn (Bronnie) Robertson: All that lovely food in our cafes, well thats created and overseen by Bronnie in our Bath Street kitchen. Bronnie has been with us for a number of years now and has an extensive background in the hospitality industry.
