Senior Management
The Strictly Coffee Company is jointly owned and directed by Lesley Keen, Duncan Northover and Roy Borgman.
Lesley: Has extensive experience in the coffee cafe scene, having run successful cafe businesses in Auckland and Dunedin. Lesley is 'Strictly Coffee' and is the inspiration behind the 'ambience', decor and high quality service of our cafes. In her role as Director Retail, she works closely with cafe Managers, including our wholesale clients, ensuring that we have the best trained and presented staff, produce and of course quality coffee.
Duncan: With over 20 years of experience in the sales business, Duncan carries out the role of Director Wholesale, chief roaster, and the day to day running of the total business. Duncan manages the sales, technical, and roasting team and is based in our Frederick Street head quarters, warehouse and roastery.
Roy: With over 35 years of management, finance and investment banking experience, as well as managing and co owning his own successful stockbroking and investment advising business for 10 years, Roy brings business and finance management skills to Strictly Coffee in his role as Director Finance.
Warehouse & HQ Frederick Street
Roaster/training: Ash Officer with 8 years in the industry and previously Manager Bath Street. Trained in all facets of the coffee business from retail to wholesale, with experience as roaster and Manager of Bath Street, Ash is able to invaluable assistance to all areas of the operation.
Technical/despatch: Brian Johnson is our technical man in charge of coffee machine maintenance and client machine repairs. Brian has benefited from training in Italy at La Cimbali, Cona in London and Adimac vending machines in New Zealand.
Cafe Managers
Bath Street: Pru Jopson has come to dunedin from central otago five years ago and has been at our flagship branch for a year and a half, brining seven years experience and is considered to be our front of house superstar.
